Other notable casinos include the Monte Carlo Casino, which was used as a meeting place for spies and dispossessed royalty during the Second World War, and which inspired Ian Fleming’s James Bond novel and film series. The Casino Estoril in Portugal is Europe’s largest casino by capacity.
