Meet Caroline
The G-Spot Revolution was created by Caroline Shannon-Karasik as a health, fitness and wellness resource for people from all walks of life. Leaning on the truth that what we put into our bodies produces an equal outward affect, Caroline has always worked to understand not only what that meant for her own health, but for other people’s as well. Everything from a vegetarian diet to plyometric exercises to food allergies to yoga to name-it-and-she’s-read-about-it, has sparked Caroline’s interest and has led her to consistently research the tools that will help people lead their best lives.
After many years spent determining what would work best for her health and body, Caroline learned a few things about her personal prescription: Running makes her body feel A-OK. All of those years she spent in digestive pain? She has Celiac Disease. Hot yoga helps to keep her sane. If she goes a day without veggies, she feels it. Being healthy doesn’t mean you can’t also be a baker. Burning peppermint and cinnamon oils get her pumped up. Chocolate makes everything better.
All of these things come together to create Caroline’s “right-on factor”. Her mojo, so to speak. Her gosh-I-feel-great version of Caroline. Her G-Spot. But she also understands that what works for her, isn’t necessarily optimal for everyone. And that’s why she created a resource for people to discover their personal Goldilock’s moment. Dear Caroline,
Your aunt may have already told you this but……in my search today for Vietnamese recipes I came across your blog. My friend, Zoe, has a daughter with celiac disease whom I thought might appreciate your blog.
Sound familiar?
Small world.
Great blog
Karen, thank you so much for stopping by! It really is a small world isn’t it?!
Which one of my aunts do you know? I’m assuming it’s my Aunt Amy who has a sister named Zoe … ?
Just came across your website looking for a coffee cake recipe for my niece, Stephanie, to serve at her upcoming baby shower. Stephanie and I both have celiac disease. Looking forward to making your raspberry walnut & cinnamon coffee cake! Thanks!
Scrolling through your website, I have found inspiration again! Celiac brings new symptoms even with being on the diet and my pity party had me skipping gym workouts lately. First on my list is getting back to the gym this week for conditioning classes and spinning! Workouts do WORK!
Debra, thank you so much for your sweet comment! I am so happy that you will not only be enjoying the Raspberry, Walnut & Cinnamon Coffee Cake, but finding inspiration from my blog. It is so wonderful to hear from readers. I totally agree with you about working out. Even though I am gluten-free, there are still some lingering symptoms that need extra care. Breaking a sweat is an awesome help! Sending you tons of positive and healthy energy as you embark on a new fitness journey! (P.S. I hope Stephanie likes the cake too — and congratulations to her!)
Found your blog tonight. I am dealing with Celiac and Type 1 diabetes. My 16 year old daughter is celiac and my 19 year old son will be getting his diagnosis this week. (He is a Point Park student!) . Any Pittsburgh restaurant suggestions would be appreciated. Can’t wait to try some of your recipes! Thank you.
Laura, I am so glad you found me! My husband and I are also Point Park grads and my brother is there right now — small world! I am working on putting together a post of local restaurants that offer gluten-free options, so stay posted! Enjoy making some of my recipes.
My dearest Caroline,
You might know me as Sheri “Sparkle” Williams. I am taking a chance at the notion that you might remember me from a performance you experienced and so delightfully and eloquently wrote about in the October 20, 2010 publication of the Dayton City Paper entitled “So Cool. So Smooth. So DCDC’s Jazz Artistically”. I am the woman/dancer who, at the time, was embarking upon my 39th season with the Dayton Contemporary Dance Company.
I was at my computer checking out a few things and purely by chance stumbled upon your article. I am so bummed that I hadn’t seen it when published. I just want to thank you for your supportive and wonderfully witty commentary. Like you, I too am a health and fitness professional and advocate. I’ve taken a look at your sites/blog etc. and have become an absolute fan!!!
You ended said article with, “Sheri Williams will you teach me how to be like you when I grow up?” I say to you with a smile, beautiful young lady that you are, “Aim higher”! If I am at all an object of inspiration, for you, or any other young lady as talented and accomplished as you, then I’ve done considerably better than I ever imagined.
Thank you Caroline. I am forever affected by your sentiment.
May God bless you and yours.
With much humility and gratitude,
Sheri “Sparkle” Williams

Sheri, I cannot possibly express to you how much your words mean to me. I am most certain that, “Aim higher!” is my new personal motto! You are an inspiration and without a doubt someone I will never forget. Thank YOU for your support and for the constant energy you bring to the arts and, of course, every person who sits and watches you light up that stage. I wish you so much health and continued love.
My best,
Caroline
